Hey runners, in today's newsletter, some famous figures are making their way to running events.

NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani played a big part at the USATF Championships, holding the tape, distributing medals, and giving away free tickets, while across the pond, viral fitness coach Joe Wicks' attendance at a parkrun managed to double the field.

Elsewhere, the toughest footrace on earth has been made even tougher with near-record temperatures in Death Valley, and another Commonwealth star drops out of the Games.

And as always, we round things out with the practical stuff: boyweight exercises for when you're not around the gym, what to eat after the marathon, and our top tips to snag that 5K PR!

Happy running!
