Hey runners, in today's newsletter, Jakob Ingebrigtsen is finally back.

The two-time Olympic champion races the 5,000m on Monday, his first since February Achilles surgery, after an injury that's now disrupted three straight seasons. Elsewhere, LA28 ticket registrations have passed 12 million with two years to go, and London has filed its bid for the 2029 World Championships after settling the stadium row with West Ham.

Closer to home, NYRR is adding a lottery to 9+1, meaning only 15,000-plus members chosen in a free drawing can pursue the decades-old guaranteed entry route into the NYC Marathon.

And as always, we round things out with the practical stuff: eight upper body exercises for runners, a complete guide to nutrition, and how many miles you should actually run a day.
